Overview
Round 8 saw Maldon back at home against Dunolly after a week off with the bye.
Another enjoyable autumn day for golf saw players enjoying the very best of playing conditions with the freshly mown fairways a real treat, as were the recently sanded scrapes.
Saturday May 18 Competition Results
PINEHURST CHAMPIONSHIP
Champions – John Fitzpatrick and John Purcell 80 gross.
After a very chilly start to the day, the temperature rose to a balmy 14 degrees, when a hardy group of Piste Artistes gathered on the Penny School piste to play a couple of games of social pétanque.
Maldon entered two teams in last week’s Dunolly pairs competition.

Friday 17 May was the day for the Autumn Challenge between Maldon Pétanque Club and Castlemaine U3A.
The threat of some intermittent showers did not deter a hard-core of enthusiasts from competing in a special teams event last Saturday.
