A small but select group of Maldon social petanquers met at the Penny School piste on Sunday.

The heat was reasonably tame

So we were up for a game

Even though the forecast was 32, a good number of petanquers were eager to get their boules rolling for our last Summer games.

Four weeks ago it was

Wet, Wet, Wet

Last Sunday it was

Hot, Hot, Hot

Again for Petanque it was Not, Not, Not

The Maldon Petanque Club has a policy that it doesn’t have games if the forecast is 35° or over, so we had to cancel Sunday’s games.

Wet, Wet, Wet

Has it stopped raining yet

Not good for Petanque Ah well

We will have to cancel

Hopefully no more

Every second Sunday

Unfortunately we could not start the 2024 season on Sunday 7 January, but hopefully we will get away on Sunday 21 January on the St Brigid’s pistes starting at 1pm for three games of the noble game of Petanque.
