Mount Alexander Shire Council held a mayoral election prior to its monthly meeting on Tuesday 18 November, resulting in the instalment of Councillor Toby Heydon as Mayor for the next 12 months. Councillor Matt Driscoll was elected and appointed as Deputy Mayor.
