Dig Cafe Dig Cafe in Newstead serves fantastic food and excellent coffee and offers a warm, welcoming ambience. Their menu is complemented by an exceptional selection of local wines, available by the glass or bottle, along with a variety of ciders and beers. The friendly team at Dig is always happy to help you choose the perfect pairing. Dining inside the charming historic building is a pleasure, while the shady garden offers an ideal spot on summer days. The outdoor street tables, set beneath a wide verandah, provide another lovely place to relax with a coffee. On Friday evenings, Dig offers takeaway pizzas. “Locals love our pizzas as they’re easy to pick up at the end of the working week,” says Robyn. The options are generous and creative, from locally made bull-boar sausages with tomato, bacon, Spanish onion, and mozzarella on a Napoli base, to sweet potato with zucchini, roasted capsicum, feta, lemon zest, thyme, and mozzarella, finished with garlic and chilli oils. It’s little wonder the locals keep coming back! Dig Cafe will be closed from Monday, 22 December, and reopening on Saturday, 27 December, and then closing on Monday, 29 December, and reopening on Friday, 2 January. Opening hours for January will be Wednesday - Sunday, 8.30am - 3.30pm, with takeaway pizzas on Fridays from 5 - 8pm. Robyn and her dedicated staff would like to thank their customers for their support over the past year. They wish you
