The work on the gutters in Maldon is finally nearing completion, and for some shopkeepers (and shoppers!) it can’t come soon enough.  
It has been particularly onerous for retailers during school holidays and other busy times.  “It keeps the customers away,” is a common complaint.  
Never mind, almost finished – and the end result will be well worth waiting for.
