Cathouse Players present Gaslight

Patrick Hamilton wrote Gaslight in 1938. This unsettling drama is set in Victorian London and centres on the abusive relationship between Bella and Jack Manningham. It provides an uncannily accurate portrayal of psychological partner abuse - and gave rise to the now commonly-used label of ‘gaslighting’ which is applied in a broad range of instances, from marriages to politics (think Trump).
